How do you install a window evaporative cooler?
I am trying to save some money on my utility bills by installing a side draft swamp cooler. I only have a/c right now and it is costing me a fortune. so i got the unit, now what do i do?? i need to know how to mount it. any other information would be appriciated.
Make sure its the correct size for the room you are going to cool. Its has to be mounted outside the window. Obviously an sash type of window in which the bottom half of the window can be raised saves one a lot of trouble. You have to get electricity to it and a water supply.
Swamp coolers work best when the air is really dry as in the Southwest. Not very effective in humid conditions.
