How can i get over of my fear of roller coasters?

Im 12 and im pretty much fearless until it comes to roller coasters. Im going to cedar point in a couple weeks with my cousin thats my age. He is totally fearless! Whenever we go to a theme park, im the odd one out and i ruin everyones good time. I want to fit in with my family. Can someone please help me?

well, i used to be scared shitless by roller coasters (: shhhh, don't tell
i started actually liking them when i went on one because i didn't want to disappoint my friends. i mean, you're really ruining everyone's fun when you refuse to participate. it makes other people feel like "gosh why did she even come?" you know? so i was in line with my friends who were all so talkative and gushing about how excited they were and i was shaking and stuttering and feeling like i was gonna pee in my pants. when that roller coaster BOOMED off, i was screaming my head off. but..i had a lot of fun (:
i think it was because first, i knew the roller coaster was safe and millions of people had gone on it before me. second, i kept thinking that it'd be over in a minute because really, it will be over in a minute and then you're all proud of yourself for conquering your fear. and third, i hated the feeling of dropping but i concentrated on what i did like, which was the feel of the wind and the speed and being able to see EVERYTHING at the top of it.

i really hope you go on roller coasters and have a good time. just try one. willpower's all it takes. and you might like it
just try not to chicken out :)
