Any ideas for a parade float?
So we have a little hometown parade coming up in october. I am president of the FFA Chapter and we are entering a float. The theme is "Honoring our Home Town Heroes" (i.e firefighters, police, military) and I need ideas for the float! We are going to use my dad's 30 ft gooseneck flatbed trailer and our ag truck to pull it. Any ideas will be helpful because i'm stumped!
how about including the ordinary hero? might be symbolically (like the housewife) or an actual person (like one that saved a kid from drowning). or the imaginary hero (like the kid pretending to be Superman, or a fantasy hero). I'm not making fun of (the concept of) the heroes you mention, just like an extra focus on a different kind. you might want to check Antony Gormley's project at Trafalgar Square London: he did a project where ordinary Brits could take the stand on the fourth corner of the square with statues of well-known heroes in British history. and the recent Manchester International Festival started with a procession including ordinary people.
