Can the female witch archetype be something other than a female?
The witch archetype is someone who aids the hero only in exchange for payment. It is categorized under a female archetype, so does that rule out any other sort of thing such as in my case an animal. Can't a man also be a witch in some sort of way or something else as well?
Archetypes have a lot more to do with the character's ROLE than with the character's gender or even species. So, yes, as long as the character is aiding the hero the way a witch archetype would, then that character is fulfilling the witch archetype role.
