Why would Canadian and US consumers buy Case equipment over Cat or Komatsu in construction, or Agco or John Deere in agriculture?
Certainly Deere and Cat are larger companies than CHN. One reason they might buy Case is brand loyalty. Farmers are very brand loyal. In many cases (no pun intended) their fathers used Case tractors and they have used Case tractors all of their lives. Another reason might be due to local distributorship. If you have a handy dealer not too far away that provides decent service, why change? One thing for a farmer to consider when buying a farm implement is rapid availability of replacement parts and maintenance service. Nothing worse than having a major breakdown during planting or havesting and not being able to become operational again as rapidly as possible.
