Gas Starting

What's going on with gas prices starting tomorrow morning?

My dad called me about an hour ago and he said that I need to fill up my cars immediately because gas prices are going up tomorrow. Well, to my surprise, every gas station around where I live is over crowded with people panicking to fill up their cars including me. What's going on? I tried to find something on the internet about it, but I couldn't. Could someone enlighten me about this situation?
