I dont want to bleed into the other colors
I'm vibrant
I stand out
I forge my own path
Knocking down my obstacles
I am my own
I want to be my own
People to look at me
And see something different
I am confused at times
Separating myself is hard
My dreams are like rainbows
Separating the colors
Into people
I am my own
The people in my dreams
Are their own
But life is different
Everyone says
Be like me
But I am not like everyone
Not a muddied blob of colors
I am my own
I can be any shade
But never two together
Red when i'm outgoing
And Blue when im sad
Purple is the color of my love
Yellow of my happiness
Green when im unique
Pink when life is alive to me
Everything is new
I am my own
The use of a simile and a metaphor in your poem made in magnificent. The extended metaphor comparing yourself to a rainbow is genius. All I can say is that I really like your poem.
